Jason got me from school. I was practically in a vegetative state.

I practically killed my best friend. Hell I did kill my best friend. Those bullets had been meant for me and my dear friend Angeline had taken them instead. It was my fault.

I was sitting on a bench as the cops tried to comfort me and get me to tell them what happened. I couldn't talk. I just put on Angeline's red orange and yellow bracelet on my wrist next to my green blue and purple one.

My jeans were saturated in Angeline's blood.

Tears streamed down my cheeks but I didn't make a sound. If Kara or the Joker tried to kill me at this very second hell I might let them.

The wound was serious. The janitor saw the wound and passed out. I cradled Angeline's head in my lap and kept the hair of of her face.

"Your going to be fine" I was telling her

she spluttered in an attempt to laugh. She's not stupid.

"Thanks" she whispered "for being my friend. I've never had a friend before"

"Me neither" I told her "and you were the best friend I could ever have hoped for"

"Jess" she looked up at me "Please tell my sisters I love them, and give my brother a hug for me?"

"I'll let you do that" I said

"I want you to have my green day cd's" she said gropping or my hand

"Angeline your going to make it" tears leaked from
my life in Hogwarts I apply a thick layer of eyeliner in my dorm's spacious bathroom. Eleven year old Rose Weasley bounces past me. She's a good kid.

"Alex you promised to braid my hair" she pouts in her blue night gown

"Yes I did" I flip my dark brown hair and face my little freckled friend "Give me a hair tie"

She sits down and I braid her flame colored hair.

"Can you tell me about America?" she asks as I part her hair

"Yeah" I tell my little gingery pal about my home town in Carmel California.

"It sounds so nice" she tells me as I loop the hair tie around the end of the first pig tail.

"Yeah I guess" I shrug. I have not too fond memories of the place.

"Jessica" I look up as my teacher tries to get my attention. I zoned out.

"Yes Mr. Kreibel?" I ask sweetly

He puts taps on my desk "You were doing it again Miss Todd"

"Sorry" I look down

"Just please try not to do it again" He goes up and begins teaching again

After class my best friend Angeline finds me.

"Are you okay?" Ange asks me

"Yeah" I shove books in my locker "why?"

Ange twists a strand of her blue hair "You seem...off"

"What?" I slam my locker

she holds up her hands "Not trying to be mean but you seem sad and a little jumpy"

"Yeah I guess I just got a lot on my plate"

"Yeah same" Ange looks tired worn out. Her hair is kin

Jason was gone doing 'business' for the night. He dosen't know that I know what he's really doing. He goes out twice a month to extort money from drug dealers. I'm pretty okay with it I'm just peeved he didn't tell me.

What Kara was saying kind of scared me. Hell I was terrified.

Because I am me I was determined if the came I would make sure they bit off way more than they could chew.

I was in full Onyx gear armed with two short swords and all the knives I owned. The lights were off so I had the cover of darkness.
